We are working with a growing organisation based in North Leeds who are continuing to grow moving into 2025.
As a result we are recruiting a Group Payroll Manager to join their HR Operations team and provide an effective and efficient payroll and benefits management service to all the businesses employees.
Key Responsibilities to include:
* General payroll management – Responsible for end-to-end processing of all payrolls, ensuring that all our employees are paid correctly and on time.
* Day to day line management and supervision of the Payroll Administrator.
* Maintaining the IRIS Cascade platform, working alongside HR to ensure all employee records are accurately kept up to date in accordance with data protection regulations.
* Processing payroll amendments including starters, leavers, contract changes, salary changes and tax code changes.
* Collating and inputting payroll data including variable pay (bonuses, commission) and expenses claims.
* Managing and administering the Group pension scheme.
* Preparing and applying statutory payment calculations, including maternity, paternity and SSP.
* Processing required payments and returns to HMRC and pension providers.
* Ensuring statutory compliance and that any regulation changes are understood and implemented.
* Conducting regular monitoring checks to ensure changes are monitored & controlled, and employees are accurately paid.
* Maintaining up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedures
* Working closely with the IT team regarding Payroll system upgrades and developments.
* Ensuring that robust audit records are maintained.
* Providing a range of management information and reports as required.
* Responding to manager and employee payroll queries in a timely manner.
* Producing payroll journals to be posted directly into the accounting platforms.
* Become a ‘Super User’ in respect of our Iris Cascade Payroll platform to maximise efficiencies and process.
We would be keen to hear from candidates with the following knowledge & experience:
* An experienced Payroll Manager, with a demonstrable background in managing payroll processes for c1000+ employees across multiple locations.
* Ideally, you will have experience integrating payroll processes for acquired businesses into a centralised system, quickly and efficiently.
* Prior experience in managing a small payroll team.
