My client is a renowned UK M+E sub-contractor working on projects from £10 - 50 million in value, including high-tech R&D facilities, hospitals, offices, and complex government engineering projects on some of the most iconic buildings in the country.
The project is in excess of £75 million in value, and candidates must have experience working from start to finish on complex schemes for main contractors on high M+E value projects, covering initial design and technical areas through to QA and delivery of the sub-contractor works across the scheme, including commissioning stages.
This is a live project, and as part of the growing team, you will be pivotal as the lead for Mechanical and Electrical services, working alongside the Project Director and Design and Commercial leads for the scheme.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Candidates must ideally have UK main contractor experience of starting and delivering projects in excess of £50 million in the past, preferably within healthcare/R&D environments. You should be able to manage initial design and planning issues as well as the day-to-day management of the delivery of subcontractor works to budget and programme.
Ideally, you will come from a Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Contracts Manager background with an M&E sub-contractor, and/or have experience in the role as BSM for a top twenty Main Contractor. You will possess:

3. Communication and negotiation skills
4. Strong planning and problem-solving ability
5. Initiative and a positive approach to contractual/programme issues
In terms of character, you will be a driven, positive team player—ambitious, determined, resourceful, and able to perform well under pressure.
Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK.
