Behaviour Support Assistant - Whitefield (M45)
Job Description
Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant required at a primary school based on the outskirts of Prestwich (M45), to start ASAP until at least the end of the summer term 2025.
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant within this school, you will gain a rewarding role whereby you will have the opportunity to positively impact the learning, development, and lives of pupils who struggle to engage within their normal classes.
* Full-time Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
* Temporary post starting ASAP - until July 2025 and potentially longer
* Working hours (8:30am - 3:30pm)
This Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant role is at a primary school in M45. The school is easily accessible due to its strong public transport links and it is a short drive from the M61 making the surrounding areas commutable.
The school caters for primary aged students 4-11. The leadership team of this 'Good' Primary school have high expectations required by the teachers that are consistently being met, ensuring a high commitment to each child reaching their potential as they closely monitor each pupil's progress.
The needs of the students that you will be required to support within this role include SEMH, autism (ASD), and those that display challenging behaviour.
Day to day responsibilities within this Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant include supporting the learning and development of pupils who struggle to engage within classes, providing general support to teachers within lessons, and delivering resources to small groups of pupils withdrawn from their classes.
Applicant requirements:
* Previous exposure supporting the learning of 'harder to reach' primary aged pupils
* Be confident supporting pupils aged 4-11
* Be able to build positive working relationships with pupils
* Be available on a full-time basis Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
