Role- Internal Auditor- Hybrid working with travel to stores

The Role
Our Group Internal Audit & Risk function are seeking an Internal Auditor to join the team and complete internal audit activities in line with the standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors including delivery of planned and ad hoc internal audits as well as supporting on other assurance activities. This role reports to our Head of Audit & Risk via our Senior Auditor and will be home based with the expectation to travel across the UK to our dealerships and attendance at the Milton Keynes Head Office on a monthly basis.
What you’ll do
• Assist in the delivery of internal audits to review the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment; compliance with policies and procedures; and opportunities for process improvements
• Prepare accurate, logical and detailed working papers that clearly describe the work performed and conclusions reached
• Assist the Senior Internal Auditor and/or Head of Audit and Risk with preparing preliminary findings, development of actions plans and drafting of reports
• Interact with management and key personnel across the group to build and maintain ongoing business relationships
• Maintain an awareness of internal audit best practices and standards
• Perform other internal audit related duties as required
What you'll need
• Strong project and time management skills
• Good analytic and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills, with the ability to present, challenge and influence
• Ability to work independently with motivation and drive
• Good skills in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Working towards an internal audit or finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CMIIA)
• Full UK driving licence
• High levels of diplomacy and relationship building skills
