Role Overview
The Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the product development and production process for collections and bespoke, ensuring that high quality standards are maintained.
Working predominantly with design, alongside the operations, sales and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery whilst maintaining exceptional craftsmanship standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development;
managing product development projects from design to manufacturing, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
2. Production Coordination;
overseeing the end-to-end production process, from design approval to final delivery. Prioritisation, allocation and management of products and repairs through select workshops, hallmarking and quality control.
3. Quality Assurance;
ensuring all jewellery meets the companys exacting quality standards and adheres to brand guidelines.
4. Supplier Management;
building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, in London, Italy and other key regions.
5. Inventory & Logistics;
responsible for stock management of components, findings and gemstones alongside finished products, both new and existing. Management and upkeep of the SAP system.
6. Strategy & Budgeting;
help set the yearly production budget, setting realistic goals, monitoring expenses, and proactively addressing any variances, while maintaining clear and transparent communication.
Key Qualifications & Skills
7. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the luxury jewellery or fine jewellery industry with a proven track record of managing production processes and delivering high-quality products on time.
8. Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing techniques, materials, and craftsmanship, diamonds and gemstones, including CAD, casting, stone setting, and workshop practices.
9. Familiarity with high-value materials, gemstones, and supply chain management.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and a sound knowledge of SAP database.
11. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
12. A meticulous approach to detail, ensuring every piece meets the highest quality standards, exceptional organisational, time management and multitasking abilities.
13. A problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
14. Willingness to travel internationally as needed to visit suppliers and workshops.
