As the Senior Learning Disabilities Nurse you will have responsibility for your caseload and will be accountable for all aspects of delivering a nursing service for adults with learning disabilities/challenging behaviour, within this criminal justice setting. You will be working with adults whose behaviours have resulted in their offending and coming into contact with the criminal justice system. As the Senior Nurse, you will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to undertake person-centred specialist behavioural assessments, planning and co-ordination of positive non-aversive behavioural approaches to service users within HMP Leeds and a diverse range of professionals and service providers.

What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) with valid NMC registration, you will have specialist knowledge of mental health issues and the additional health needs associated with service users with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. You will have knowledge of the specialist screening and assessment tools which are available for identifying/assessing the needs of service users with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

You'll receive an annual salary up to £46,200 per annum - depending on experience.
