The Practice Development role is driven by education/training and supporting change in practice. This role enables the post holder to develop wider working relationships and strategies to support the evolution of practice.
The Practice Development Team is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Nurses to join us at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust within the corporate Practice Development team for 1 year to cover maternity. During this time, the post holder will develop a range of transferable skills applicable to all aspects of nursing care/delivery.
Main duties of the job
We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced nurses who want to develop into a Practice Development position.
You will be an experienced Nurse who can facilitate and support the development of Nurses, student Nursing Associates, and Nursing Associates as well as Healthcare Support Workers. You will demonstrate wide-ranging competency in clinical practice and significant experience of providing mentorship to Registered Nurses.
Supported by the Lead Nurse for Practice Development, you will be encouraged to lead development programmes independently and enable others to apply their learning to promote excellent nursing care. You will be able to use data and audits to help develop strategies and initiatives to improve patient care.

Knowledge/Experience
