Rethink Mental Illness are hiring a Support Worker to join our inspiring and friendly team at our Derbyshire Peer to Peer Service.
Imagine being part of an organisation whose common purpose is to help those who are severely impacted by mental illness. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity – and that’s why equity is one of our core values.
Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service works in partnership with P3, Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health, and Derbyshire Mind to deliver community-based support to individuals in their mental health recovery journey. We offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. We believe in working closely with individuals to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey. Mental Health Recovery Workers work under the leadership and guidance of the Service Manager.

* Develop a rapport with service users based on respect and honesty, while working within clear professional boundaries and the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.
* Enable and encourage service users to find out about local services and facilities within their community and facilitate access to alternative services where specific needs are identified.
* Be familiar with individual Care/Recovery Plans and support people who use our services in achieving their goals.
* Encourage service users to recognise, understand, and manage factors that affect their mental wellbeing and physical health.
