Job Description: As a Residential Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our residential facility, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents. Responsibilities: Provide effective line management and support to Children's Home Managers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Lead and inspire a team of support staff, promoting a culture of excellence, professionalism, and compassion. Plan and facilitate regular staff meetings, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and feedback. Conduct staff supervision sessions, performance appraisals, and ongoing training to enhance the skills and competencies of team members. Oversee the recruitment and selection process for new staff members, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and suitability for the role. Develop and maintain comprehensive Person-Centred Plans for each resident, regularly reviewing and updating them to reflect their evolving needs and aspirations. Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of residents by implementing robust health and safety measures, risk assessments, and emergency procedures. Foster a positive and inclusive environment where residents feel respected, valued, and empowered to participate in decisions affecting their lives. Collaborate with other Residential Managers and relevant stakeholders to promote teamwork, sharing of best practices, and continuous improvement. Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, responding to safeguarding concerns and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential setting within the last 5 years. Level 5 qualification in Social Work or a related field. Proven experience in supervising and managing staff, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in residential care. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach to work. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, families, and external agencies.
