About the Role
As a Copywriter, you will craft content that captures the brand voice and engages audiences across digital and offline platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative content strategies that align with marketing goals and business objectives. A core focus of the role is crafting feature and benefit copy for product web pages.
* Product Knowledge: Attend product launches and training sessions to write accurate and informative resources for consumers.
* Product Features and Development: Convert technical features into consumer-facing benefits (80% of the role deliverables) developing copy in an engaging and on-brand tone of voice.
* Content Creation: Write engaging copy for websites, social media, emails, marketing campaigns, and in-store materials. Develop informative product descriptions, FAQs, and category pages. Deliver marketing copy for campaigns (20% of the role deliverables).
* Research and Strategy: Stay updated on industry trends and SEO practices. Research audience insights and competitors to create effective, targeted content strategies.
* Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all copy is clear, grammatically correct, and aligned with brand guidelines. Revise content based on team feedback.
* Project Management: Plan and execute a content calendar, balancing multiple projects to meet deadlines. Collaborate with design and UX teams for cohesive messaging.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a copywriter for D2C eCommerce/retailers (preferably within wellness, beauty, home cleaning, activewear, home appliances, electronics, or automotive sector).
* Expertise in writing for digital platforms (web, social media) and print.
* Knowledge of SEO best practices and content marketing strategies.
* Strong experience writing features and benefits of products (may be related to experience, comfort, performance, or result-oriented features and benefits).
* Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
* Strong strategic thinking and creative writing skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to adapt tone across mediums.
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
* Proven ability to receive a high-level brief and can successfully execute it.
