The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust is a Royal Navy & Royal Marines charity that gives help, in cases of need, to serving and former-serving Royal Naval Ratings and Royal Marines other ranks. We also help their partners, children and some others connected with them. We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this is a newly created role, based at our Head Office in Portsmouth. We can offer hybrid working arrangements but please note that the role is not offered on a fully remote basis.
The Marketing & Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative multi-channel strategies to elevate engagement with the Trust. You will have the opportunity to drive creative campaigns that inspire and connect, contributing to the growth and development of the Trust. We are looking for a self-starter who will bring a diverse and imaginative skill set, with experience across a variety of digital channels and strategies, including social media, email marketing, content creation and data analysis.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Leading marketing campaigns to promote the organisation, aligning with the Trust’s overall goals.
* Ensuring consistent brand messaging across all platforms of communication.
* Collaborating closely with the Trust’s marketing agency on the development of digital content and marketing materials to support PR activity.
* Overseeing the creation of compelling content across multiple channels (website, social media, press releases, newsletters, etc).
* Monitoring and reporting on marketing performance, keeping abreast of trends in marketing and communications, integrating new techniques and tools where beneficial.
* Planning, organising and executing a programme of B2B events (conferences, workshops, networking events, road shows etc.) to promote the Trust and strengthen relationships with stakeholders; organising post-event follow-up to measure success and gather feedback for future improvements.
* Collaborating with the teams across The RNBT to ensure our events align with overall objectives.
The role would suit a highly organised individual with experience in a non-profit setting an advantage. We are looking for you to be IT literate, competent with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Canva, with demonstrable expertise in driving innovative marketing strategies across digital platforms such as social media, email marketing, website content and digital advertising.
