Salary:£47,683 – £52,426 depending on experience
Whatyou’ll be doing:
* Analysenew and emerging Customers requirements and provide a Safety andAvionic scoping together with a feasibility analysis for all the 7main sub-systemsteams
Co-ordinate a review of theprovided requirements, either a Customer Statement of Requirements(SOR) or an EF System Requirements Document (SRD), to identify theinitial Customer needs. The Customer requirements along with anassessment of the ConEmp scenarios are assessed to identify the‘’Problem Space’’. The output is captured in the Avionic SystemScope and Feasibility Analysis Report(ASFAR) Co-ordinate initial safetyassessments of the design change, highlighting particular areas ofconcern, likely hazards, need for Weapon System Preliminary HazardAnalysis (WS PHA). The output is also captured in theASFAR Co-ordinate initialtechnical assessments of the Customer Business Cases (BC) toidentify and document the overall scope, impact of the change(s)and potential solutions. The solutions will be analysed in order todefine the single selected solution known as the ‘Avionic Designrecommendation’. A final feasibility study is then performed on theAvionic Designrecommendation
Your skills andexperiences:
* A degreein a STEM subject (or equivalent relevantexperience)
It is critical thatapplicants have a strong Systems Engineering background through thewhole system development lifecycle ideally from the Aerospace orDefence sectors
* Strongproven experience in requirements capture and requirementsmanagement.
Understanding therelationships between engineering requirements and their impact onthe platform and equipment is vital to effectively plan theirimplementation.
* Anexcellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbal. Theindividual will build and sustain effective and lastingrelationships with the Customer, Stakeholders and AJTteams
Proven ability to writeformal project documentation

TheEurofighter Typhoon Avionics Joint team: Eurofighter Typhoon Avionics Joint Team (AJT) isresponsible for the overall system level functional Avionic designand partitioning across the 7 main sub-systems and 100+ “blackboxes”. Also responsible for the overall avionics safety analysis,qualification and certification of the integrated system anddelivery of product tocustomer(s). The Front-End Team provides technical support to EF andcollates customer requirements and system constraint providing acoherent Design Concept and an aligned view across the AvionicDesign teams.
