Outreach Behaviour Mentor
Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people?
Do you have experience supporting individuals that can find it difficult to build social and emotional relationships?
In recent years there has been a massive focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences. We are currently seeking Outreach Behaviour Mentors to support these pupils on a 1:1 basis for the rest of the Academic Year, in the Fishponds area of Bristol (BS16). These opportunities come with an option of progressing onto contract at the school.
Responsibilities
1. Support pupils within the classroom and run activities with the pupils outside the classroom.
2. Provide pastoral and positive behavioural support alongside the class teacher, ensuring the right support is in place for the students.
3. Create a captivating learning environment to motivate students and help them fulfill their potential.
This position is full-time, and full support and guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training (including Free Team Teach training, usually costing £1500) while in the role.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils in school or an alternative setting, but we will also consider applicants without this experience. This is your opportunity to secure your dream role in a school with an immediate start for ASAP/March 2025.
