Lord Hardy Court provides care to 60 older people, with a range of individual needs, and Mental Health problems including Dementia. The home also provides hospital avoidance beds.
Applicants ideally need experience in a social care setting and have a Level 5 Qualification (i.e., Diplomas of HE and FE foundation degrees and HNDs) plus experience in relevant areas of work over a period of years.
Shift Leaders are expected to contribute to the provision of a comfortable, stimulating homely environment that meets CQC Fundamental Standards of Care, maintain Health and Safety, and uphold Dignity in Care Principles.
Shift Leaders are also expected to contribute to and develop a customer-focused service that is responsive and flexible regarding all customer needs. They must ensure person-centred plans and risk assessments are carried out to the required standard and support the night care staff on shift across all units.
Lord Hardy Court operates a shift system on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays, with cover required up to 37 hours for leave and sickness.
