This is a Site based role! Transport Manager\n\nReporting to the Site Manager the ideal candidate must be a graduate with at least 5 years' experience within Transport and Logistics. The ideal candidate must have previously managed a large fleet of at least 100 vehicles and managed a budget of 8 million.\n\nA clear understanding, application and strategic delivery of transport compliance in previous roles.\n\nPrevious experience of supporting the supervision/management of a transport department ensuring optimum efficiency and effectiveness.\n\nNational CPC holder is essential.\n\nExperience within a fast pace, multi-drop logistics environment is preferable.\n\nStrong commercial awareness with the ability to fully understand budget and financial targets.\n\nEvidence of managing and driving change, in situations constantly requiring adaptation.\n\nProven ability to lead and motivate large teams, with excellent people management skills.\n\nWork collaboratively and influence to build strong, trusting relationships with peers and other business departments.\n\nEvidence of creative and innovative thinking\n\nIn this position, you will be shaping the transportation strategy and leveraging your expertise to enhance overall operational efficiency.\n\nOverall fleet management to include ‘account management’ of fleet providers.\n\nAchievement of the daily/weekly/monthly KPI's through effective guidance and coaching of transport team managers.\n\nMonitoring all investigation activity to understand root cause and make sure that corrective and preventative action has been implemented and solutions identified (or escalated) where necessary.\n\nUpholding departmental compliance by consistently monitoring QHSE, Sustainability, and Fleet standards.\n\nThis encompasses having an oversight of PPE usage, vehicle inspections, CV servicing, MOTs, VORs, contractor management, hygiene protocols, temperature checks, and thorough tracking of accidents and near misses.\n\nSupporting the control of department resources and costs within agreed finance targets.\n\nMonitoring routing and working collaboratively with wider teams to reduce damage and manage costs effectively.\n\nTaking an inclusive approach to continuous improvement by reviewing the operation as a whole and making recommendations.\n\nUtilising and analysing relevant data from transport and associated systems to identify issues and proactively drive improvements through transport team members.\n\nEnsuring transport team managers are leading required change throughout their teams to ensure initiatives are fully implemented and their teams are engaged throughout the process.\n\nEnsure that the Company Health & Safety Policy and Company Risk Assessments are effectively implemented at site level.\n\nWith all activity, implement and manage standard process and procedures across all locations\n\nAttributes
