The Team:
The Emergency Department team at Launceston General Hospital (LGH), as part of the Department of Health Tasmania, consists of highly skilled emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, and support staff who collaborate to provide urgent and life-saving care to the community. The team utilises advanced medical protocols to assess, stabilise, and treat patients with acute conditions, ranging from trauma to medical emergencies. Working closely with other departments and community health services, they ensure timely escalation and transfer of critical patients to appropriate care levels. Through their commitment to rapid response and high-quality care, the team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the health and well-being of Tasmanians.
The Role:
The Registered Nurse - Clinical Coach supports and mentors clinicians through clinical coaching, supervision, and education to enhance their confidence and competence in practice. Working collaboratively with education and clinical teams, the role ensures safe, high-quality, and evidence-based patient care. It contributes to professional development, leadership, and continuous improvement while supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in achieving learning and development goals.
You will need:
* Skilled in mentoring, supervision, and guiding clinicians in practice.
* Strong feedback, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to support learning.
* Experience in clinical teaching, preceptorship, and supporting professional growth.
Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent, part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $99,455 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
