Responsible for carrying out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, vehicle checks, and repairs. Responsible for unplanned repairs and maintenance to ensure our fleet is roadworthy and operational. Undertake minor bodywork repairs and electrical repairs as required. Change and repair tyres.
Carry out pre-MOT checks and/or MOT repairs as required. Utilisation of computerised diagnostic equipment to assist in diagnosing vehicle faults. Ensure the company is getting value for money by researching the most effective suppliers for parts, synthetics, etc. Ensure all vehicles are MOT'ed and taxed at all times using our fleet maintenance system.
Manage your own workload to ensure the vehicles are operational and roadworthy. Ensure accurate record keeping by completing job cards for each repair, check, and service. Ensure our vehicle defect reports are addressed in a timely manner, actioned, and closed. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all statutory requirements relating to the disposal of waste produced as a result of the activities of the vehicle, including waste oil, oil filters, brake fluid, batteries, waste paint products, etc.
Occasionally attend breakdown call-outs as and when required.
