We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Project Management and Commercial office at Hinkley Point C. This vital role involves managing Nuclear Services Contracts worth ~£4Bn and ensuring the delivery of detailed design engineering activities. As part of the UK's largest nuclear construction project, you'll be responsible for driving safe, on-time delivery while maintaining financial viability through effective stakeholder collaboration and contract management.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage Nuclear Services Task Orders and associated scope changes
2. Drive delivery of engineering safely on time and to budget
3. Monitor progress against milestones, deliverables, and funding targets
4. Manage governance and interface with Responsible Designer and technical teams
5. Coordinate multiple stakeholders including project controls, commercial, and finance teams
6. Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders
7. Proactively identify and resolve emerging issues
8. Track and report KPIs and progress regularly
9. Ensure work aligns with Health and Safety requirements
10. Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders
11. Demonstrate highest standards of nuclear professionalism and safety
12. Support wider project management team as needed
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience in Project Management or Project Engineering on large/complex projects
2. Degree or equivalent (preferably in science or engineering)
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills
4. Strong coordination and leadership abilities
5. Understanding of quality requirements
6. Commercial and budget awareness
7. Problem-solving approach with quick learning ability
8. Experience building strong stakeholder relationships
9. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including CDM
10. Understanding of Nuclear Site License requirements
11. Experience working with NEC contracts
12. Knowledge of power station design (EPR or NPP)
13. Strong technical competencies in analysis tools and methods
14. Experience with integrated management systems
15. Data analysis and reporting expertise
16. Process improvement experience
