This role is eligible for Skilled Worker (Tier 2) visa sponsorship We’re looking for a Software Developer to join us at Nisa to help to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of our core EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) functions. As a Software Developer, we’ll look to you to support and develop our EPOS systems - optimising performance, resolving problems, and following-up on all issues and solutions. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and our Scunthorpe office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy ). What you’ll do Own the development and maintenance of our Nisa EPOS solution Identify and resolve program errors, as well as system and database access and performance issues Manage application development to support business operations and provide updates to the development manager Liaise with network administrators, trainers, and testers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing Make sure the appropriate functional policies, processes, and quality assurance practices are adhered to This role would suit people who have Experience using the Microsoft development stack (e.g. C#, ASP.Net etc) Experience of SQL and TSQL development on a Microsoft SQL server express platform Experience using web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) and/or WPF-based solutions Good communication skills, with the ability to translate technical language for a non-technical audience Good relationship-building and collaboration skills We know that some people are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t meet all the criteria in the job description.
