Overview: The successful candidate will oversee all financial operations, reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with department heads to ensure the company’s financial health, compliance, and strategic growth. This is a key role in the organisation, offering an excellent opportunity to drive process improvements and provide financial insights that shape business decisions.Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Provide management with monthly financial updates, variance analysis, and strategic advice.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and annual statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS.
3. Cost Management: Monitor manufacturing costs, including raw material procurement, labour, overheads, and production efficiencies. Analyse cost drivers and suggest ways to improve profitability.
4. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure efficient use of company resources. Provide forecasts to support operational and capital expenditure.
5. Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain and enhance the company’s internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
