We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and take ownership of designing, building, and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines across our diverse business portfolios. You’ll play a key role in ensuring seamless delivery of projects across the Alcumus suite of products, working to optimise build, release, and deployment pipelines for maximum efficiency.
What that means day to day
* Collaborate: Be a core part of a cross-functional DevOps team, contributing to the design and implementation of solutions for a variety of business portfolios.
* Automate: Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, in line with our DevOps strategy.
* Build Quality Solutions: Deliver high-quality, scalable, secure, and robust solutions that drive business success.
* Work Agile: Partner with product squads to ensure alignment between solution design and implementation, embracing an agile mindset.
* Support: Participate in squad stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions to ensure successful execution of team goals.
* Collaborate and Plan: Engage in collaborative team planning, estimate tasks, prioritise, and identify key milestones and risks.
* Innovate: Stay ahead of the curve by using the latest tools and technologies, constantly seeking ways to improve.
* Support our Teams: Provide support during tech support hours and be available for 24/7 on-call support via a rotating schedule.
* Security First: Ensure that security principles are integrated into your daily workflows.
What you’ll need to be successful
Essential:
* Proven experience in a DevOps or Software Development.
* Expertise in designing, building, and implementing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
* Experience in implementing “Release on Demand” capabilities within a SaaS model.
* Strong understanding of DevOps tools and technologies.
* Proficient scripting/automation skills in at least one language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Hands-on experience with building Docker images and deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters using Helmfile and Helm charts.
* Familiarity with integrating QA automation and security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience with source control tools like GitHub.
Desirable:
* Experience working with multiple cloud providers, such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
* Expertise in managing container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
* Familiarity with Keycloak or other authentication/authorisation tools.
* Experience working with front-end technologies like React, Node.js, C#, or .NET.
* Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and provisioning infrastructure.
* Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
* Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
