Description The AWS Global Expansion team is seeking a Global Expansion Manager. In this role you will plan and execute market entry strategy, problem solve for complex initiatives related to geographic expansion, and support with optimizing operational efficiency in existing countries. To do so, you will develop corporate entity strategy, driving technical and non-technical cross-functional stakeholders to ensure AWS can continue to operate efficiently and compliantly in new and existing countries. In addition to supporting AWS Infrastructure Services, you will also work across other AWS business lines, including sales, services, and supply chain in response to business needs and regulatory changes. Our Global Expansion Managers have project management experience, strong judgment, technical aptitude for creating scalable processes, a disposition toward continuous learning, an interest in developing market entry strategies, a passion for navigating ambiguity, and the ability to deep dive across a wide range of topics and stakeholders. Your role responsibilities include: Lead and advise a set of cross-functional teams, including Tax, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, HR, Public Policy, among others, to drive the global expansion of AWS. Execute multiple time-sensitive, large-scale projects to meet business objectives in defined project timeframes. Identify, drive, and develop best practices, technical solutions, process efficiencies, and project workflows. Own project management and problem solving for compliance and risk related issues. AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Basic Qualifications - 5 years of program or project management experience - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field - Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience leading process improvements using technical solutions Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
