Introduction:
A committed, caring and flexible female Personal Assistant (Exemption is claimed under the Equalities Act 2010) is required to support a young girl to access his community for 6 hours a week and an additional 6 hours a week during school holidays. The hours are to be worked flexibly as required and agreed in advance. This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable this family to manage their support independently. Training can be provided as required and where available. Must have own transport and a full, clean driving licence.
Main Duties:
• Support and encourage her with gaining independence and enable her to interact socially within her community.
• Undertake personal care tasks including nappy changing, toileting, washing and dressing.
• Prepare light meals, snacks and drinks. (Food assistance required)
• Support and encourage her with activities such as swimming, horse riding, and other activities of interest.
• Support her with any mobility tasks. Including pushing her wheelchair, when required, and holding her hand for support when she walks.
• Support and encourage her to try new activities and skills to improve her confidence and abilities.
• Ensure her safety during your working period, constant supervision is required.
• Support the whole family so they are able to go on day trips and enjoy family time.
• To undertake any other reasonable requests made by the employer.

Other Requirements:
A full, clean driving licence and use of a car is required.
You must have business use on your vehicle insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours.
