The role of Training Facilitator is responsible for the training and development of the operations workforce and the maintenance of the operational work instructions and procedures.
The role will give staff an understanding of, and the practical skills of operations, working alongside the plant management team help to motivate, and ensure staff are proficient and capable to carry out particular work-related tasks.
The Training Facilitator will deliver training sessions alongside the management team.
This role also supports the central Training Co-ordination team within the HR function to facilitate delegates to attend external and internal training sessions.
The role also involves the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees' skills sets so that they can fulfil their potential within the organisation.
Main responsibilities of the role: Monitor, measure and report on training and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales working collaboratively with the HR function to ensure all staff within operations are skilled to the right level Alongside the HR function continuously, monitor training activities to ensure they meet and integrate with the organisations business objectives together with quality, legal, health and safety environmental policies and general duty of care Identify training and development needs within operations through regular consultation with plant management to prepare individual learning plans for new and existing staff Deliver and support training and development programmes based on both the organisation's and the individual's needs, including but not limited to ad hoc projects and training packages when required such as in house training courses Working collaboratively with the HR function monitor and review the progress of staff being trained by using questionnaires and through discussions with Line Managers Pro-actively support Line Managers and heads of departments to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups Maintain training records and ensuring relevant spreadsheets and other in-house databases are kept up-to-date, using the competency certificate process to ensure all training records are held centrally Assist and support the HR function with audits and factory tours when clients or training providers are on site To be successful in the role you will be Independent and capable of working without supervision.
You should have an understanding of manufacturing with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for learning and development.
Experience of training and development programmes is essential along with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
It is essential that you are proficient with IT and particularly with Microsoft Office Packages.
It is desirable but not essential to have completed train the trainer training and hold a relevant training and development qualification or provide relevant demonstration of the creation and delivery of training content.
