Role Purpose
Responsible for SuccessFactors technical ownership and product health. The Application Support Technical lead will be responsible for the operational availability and change agenda for the LRQA HR platform (SAP Success Factors). They will also be responsible for ensuring the vendor delivers to their agreed SLAs and Change agenda. The Application Support Lead will liaise with the vendor to provide input into formulating and driving strategy in conjunction with the HR partner. This will ensure that SuccessFactors remains a strategic, reliable and centralised platform that effectively supports the LRQA workforce and facilitates business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring the vendor meets SLAs around platform stability and following ITIL processes.
* Ensuring Problem management processes are followed to apply continuous improvement to increase platform stability.
* Ensure that regular maintenance release work is factored into the overall change agenda.
* Overlaying SuccessFactors improvements and upgrades against business strategies and priorities to determine what items should form part of the Product backlog.
* Partner with HR to review book of work items that will form part of the Product backlog and prioritizing them accordingly.
* Coordinating with the Product Owner to help represent the views of the business and stakeholders in the design and upgrade of products.
* Provide stakeholder communications around sprint objectives, achievements and retrospectives.
* Ensuring the needs of the business are understood through regular and ongoing engagement with the Product owner and core business stakeholders.
* Contributes to the Identification and management of technical projects necessary to ensure required and established SuccessFactors service levels are maintained.
* Owns the relationship with 3rd party suppliers that support the operational and change agenda of the HRIS platform.
* Is responsible for and manages the budget associated with the platform.
* Supports the management of strategic capacity, consumption and performance management (Forecast and management based on business plans).
* Supports the management of software licenses, security certificates and contracts with service providers.
* Contributes to the safeguarding of the availability of all necessary application/service knowledge and documentation.
* Collaborates across LRQA Application Services to identify and communicate integration issues between services.
* Engages with others to define technical requirements in consultation with internal Infrastructure, InfoSec, Service Delivery and other teams.
* Using elicited requirements populate Product Backlogs to summarise the objectives, outline business case, scope, completion criteria, acceptance and other components of new demand items. Define and clarify requirements of a story, and assist with team understanding.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
* Experienced in managing large scale IT projects from inception to delivery.
* Experience as a SuccessFactors (or other Tier 1 SaaS based platform) Application Support Lead.
* Experienced in ensuring operational availability of major SaaS based platforms and well versed in Incident and Major Incident Management.
* Budgetary experience.
* Experienced in working with 3rd party suppliers.
* Skilled stakeholder manager with the ability to communicate complex messages, constructively challenge and guide stakeholders.
* The ability to explain complexity in a clear, succinct way, providing advice and recommendations to influence decision making across stakeholders at all levels, including C-Suite.
* Result driven, analytical and innovative individual with the ability to decipher business requirements and convert them effectively into new technology solutions.
* Result oriented, assertive, flexible and enthusiastic team player with a “can do” attitude.
* Good team player with the skills to work effectively in a global environment with colleagues of different cultures, contributing to multiple interrelated projects, setting clear priorities.
