Job summary To provide day to day operational management support to the GP Collaborative (GPC), including Administration team, clinical staff, and the service management team with the aim of ensuring that the service is effectively and efficiently maintained. The post holder will be part of a wider management team within GPC and Interface Services. To provide leadership on operational and administrative issues in GPC, also optimising and developing the use of information systems and processes. This includes the management, coordination and support for the Operational Shift Coordinators who supervise and support the administrative staff across the service. Main duties of the job Performance Management To be responsible for the effective operational management of all admin function, managing issues efficiently and timely, escalating concerns appropriately. On a day-to-day basis manage and prioritise own workload to ensure tasks are completed effectively and deadlines are met with minimum supervision. Risk and Governance Support the ASM and/or OSM to manage the implementation of effective systems, control processes and risk management arrangements within the services. Support conflict resolution from patients, staff, suppliers, other internal and external service providers and partner organisations in the services. Staff Management To have line management and responsibility for all admin staff within the service, ensuring 1-1's, PDR's and mandatory training is completed timely. Manage sickness, disciplinary and performance issues in line with Trust policies. Financial Management To assist with the management of the budgets within the services, ensuring that expenditure is within agreed limits and the OBM/ASM remains informed of any related issues. Leadership To lead and support staff in service delivery with the ability to adapt leadership style according to identified individual needs and the surrounding situation. Provide leadership, guidance and support to individuals and teams, ensuring effective communication channels and guiding them towards the achievement of the services objectives.
