Are you on the look out for a more rewarding job where you can make a real difference? We've got just the opportunity for you!
Our amazing #TeamFairfield in Dundee are looking for friendly, caring and dedicated new colleagues on a permanent (25-39 hours per week) basis.
The Role
You'll become part of a friendly, fun team who support nine individuals, all with various support needs to live in their own flats within the same supported living complex. There's never a dull moment at Fairfield, every day is different!
As well as supporting the individuals with aspects of their daily living, you’ll also support them with their hobbies and interests too, including arts & crafts, pool, swimming, day trips, the cinema and getting out and about in their local community.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
* A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
* The ability to work well in a team
* Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
* Good communication and organisational skills
* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
* Confidence in the use of computers
It would be great is you also have a full clean driving license and at least one years' experience on the roads as some of the people we support have their own mobility cars, however this isn't a dealbreaker for the right candidates.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts will involve early mornings, days, evenings and waking nights. Waking nights, weekends and public holidays would also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. Please note that we are unable to fit our rota for these contracted posts around a university or college timetable.
Waking night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night.
Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!
We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and reserve the right to close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and have a commitment to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
