Protocol Education is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a SEN provision, a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Chessington. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Food Technology or catering who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people with additional needs.
About Provision
St Philip’s provides tailored education and support for students aged 9–19 with EHCPs, addressing a range of needs including mild to moderate Autism Spectrum Disorders, language impairments, and emotional challenges.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive and compassionate individual with experience in Food Technology or catering to join immediately. This full-time role will primarily support Food Technology lessons, helping students build essential skills in cooking and food preparation.
* Full-time position supporting Food Technology classes and other curriculum needs in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Post-16.
* Assist teachers in the Food Technology classroom to ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.
* Provide support to students as they learn cooking skills, food hygiene, and safety practices.
* Collaborate with teachers and the well-being team to support each student’s academic, social, and emotional development.
Requirements
* Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate for both child and adult workforce (on the update service or be willing to obtain one).
* Background in Food Technology or catering is essential.
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach in a dynamic school environment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
