Venues offer versatile event spaces for up to 300 guests, ideal for weddings, conferences, banquets, business meetings, and social gatherings. To drive revenue growth, Get Golfing seeks a proactive Venue Sales Manager to focus on function and event sales.
The Role
As Hampton Court Palace Golf Club's Venue Sales Manager, the successful candidate will promote and sell the club's function and event services to individuals and businesses, maximising event venue utilisation through proactive venue sales and increasing revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote and sell the club's facilities and event services to achieve budgeted revenue targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients, enhancing event sales opportunities.
* Conduct site visits and showcase the venue and its event spaces to prospective clients.
* Collaborate with operational colleagues to develop tailored event proposals that meet client needs.
* Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution.
* Manage event bookings, contracts, and invoicing with precision.
* Attend networking events and trade shows to generate new leads and secure venue sales.
* Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in event sales.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate has:
* Proven experience in venue sales, preferably within the leisure, hospitality, or events industry.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to close deals effectively in the event sales space.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships for venue sales.
* A detail-oriented and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
* In-depth knowledge of event planning and execution processes.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required to meet client needs in event sales.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, with a focus on tracking venue sales performance.
