Job Title: Assistant Site Manager Social Housing Refurbishment Projects Location: Preston, Lancaster and South Lakes About the Role: Our client an established contractor with a long standing reputation in the North West are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Assistant Site Manager to join their team, working on social housing refurbishment projects. The Assistant Site Manager will assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the day-to-day management of refurbishment projects from start to finish. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment. Support the Site Manager with site inductions and the coordination of site teams. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth communication and project progression. Monitor progress against the project schedule, reporting any delays or issues. Assist with quality control to ensure the refurbishment work meets the required standards and specifications. Contribute to the management of project budgets, including tracking costs and helping to identify areas for cost-saving. Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation, including site records, are maintained accurately. Key Requirements: Experience in site management or working within the construction industry, ideally in social housing refurbishment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices on construction sites. Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate leadership potential. CSCS card (or equivalent) and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification is desirable. First Aid certificate (desirable). Trades background (preferable) Why Join Us?
