We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance and best practices.
Key Responsibilities for a Payroll Team Leader
Oversee and assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
Ensure payroll compliance with relevant tax laws, company policies, and employment legislation.
Manage and support the payroll team, including training, development, and performance management.
Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
Prepare and maintain accurate payroll reports and provide data as required.
Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll processes and enhancing efficiency.
Liaise with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure effective handling of payroll matters.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including taxation, HMRC rules, and company law.
Key Skills for a Payroll Team Leader
Proven experience team leadership or mentoring.
Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
