We are seeking an experienced Welding Inspector with a minimum CSWIP 3.1 certification (3.2 preferred) to join our team. This is a hands-off inspection role focused on observation, capturing, and reporting only—no physical work required. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to specifications and approved processes without direct instruction or responsibility over the work itself.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct surveillance and inspections across various activities, including:
* Pipework
* Tanks/Vessels
* Steelwork
* Heat Exchangers
1. Perform QA/QC checks and punchlist verifications.
2. Record and report findings to Construction and Quality teams, ensuring proper documentation, storage, and distribution of reports.
3. Manage outcomes of surveillance activities, including attending meetings and challenging contractors where necessary.
4. Review documentation and ensure compliance with specifications such as BTS, BST, ISO9001, GQAS, and other relevant standards.
5. Work collaboratively within a transverse project team, engaging with Quality, Construction, and Surveillance teams.
Requirements
1. CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (3.2 preferred).
2. PCN NDT qualifications (PT, MT, UT required).
3. Strong knowledge of NCRs, ITPs, and general quality processes.
4. Experience working in large-scale industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and PowerPoint.
6. Confident communicator, capable of challenging contractors while being open to scrutiny.
7. Ability to perform documentation checks and reviews with knowledge of key specifications.
8. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across different project disciplines.
