My client is a c.£15m t/o construction main contractor who specialse in public and private sector projects including schools, social housing, along with some NHS work, commercial, and fit out.
They currently only have one design manager in the business who will shortly be retiring. The role will involve managing 6 or 7 jobs at various stages at a time. Average projects are £3-8m in value. This will include D&B projects - usually from stage 3 through to construction and handover. All projects are normally within the M25 region.
As Design Manager, you will be expected to manage design team meetings, appoint/liaise with any outsourced engineers and architects, manage the flow of information and document control.
This position requires an experienced Design Manager with a number of years' experience working on similar projects
