I am currently looking for a Team Leader to join a market leader in the rail sector business, to manage a team of 6-10 skilled technicians, at their Bristol site, overseeing all maintenance activities within your team.
The Opportunity:
Ford & Stanley Talentwise are working with the UK's leading independent maintainer and overhauler of rolling stock vehicles in the UK, who operate out of numerous strategically placed maintenance depots split across the country. Our client offers comprehensive services to Train and Freight Operating Companies, Rolling Stock Leasing Companies (ROSCOs) and Rail Vehicle & Maintenance Suppliers for modern electric and diesel trains throughout the UK with around-the-clock, 365-day-a-year operation.
The successful candidate will directly manage a team of experienced technicians carrying out heavy mechanical maintenance and overhaul activities on a variety of rolling stock vehicles.
Location(s):
South West (commutable from Newport, Weston super-Mare, and Cardiff).
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure maintenance targets are maintained and hit.
2. Workload allocation.
3. Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position will be working in a maintenance function within a rail environment. They must be able to lead maintenance activities for several technicians, solve maintenance-related issues, organise themselves and others and be comfortable making decisions that will affect production capabilities.
Essentials:
1. NVQ 3 Qualified in an engineering discipline
2. Mechanical Maintenance Experience
3. Team Leader Experience
4. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
