Job Description
* Prepare and manage weekly cash forecasts to ensure sufficient cash resources.
* Oversee weekly payment runs, bank reconciliations, and credit card administration.
* Maintain the fixed asset register, monitoring capital projects and capitalisation's.
* Conduct month-end reporting, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Collaborate with department leads on cost centre analysis, addressing variances and making budgetary recommendations.
* Provide support for accounts payable and receivable, assisting the Finance Assistant as needed.
* Assist with annual external audits and comply with external reporting requirements.
* Promote continuous improvement within the Finance team and uphold quality, safety, and ESG standards.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Assistant Accountant should have:
* Currently studying accounting (CIMA/ACCA) with a strong desire to advance.
* Skilled in cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly financial reporting.
* Proactive in identifying efficiency improvements and implementing new processes.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting strict deadlines.
* Experienced in cash flow forecasting and, ideally, familiar with the manufacturing sector.
* Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
* Committed to supporting sustainability goals and adhering to quality, safety, and ESG standards.
