Management Accountant
LEICESTER
Job Purpose (Key Accountabilities):
Our client is highly successful Leicester group undergoing a successful period of growth. This key role is to take full ownership and responsibility for the group management accounts, including assisting the Head of Group Finance in developing the level of service provided to the business by the department.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
To take full responsibility for all elements of the Group’s management accounts – including preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs (individual and consolidated)
To ensure the Group’s fixed asset register is properly maintained;
To ensure that monthly reconciliations are produced for all balance sheet accounts;
To develop and maintain cashflow forecasts
To be responsible for all aspects of the use and administration of the Company’s Time and Attendance recording system;
To assist the Head of Group Finance in the production of annual company and departmental budgets;
To assist the Head of Group Finance in managing product pricing
To be a key player in the use and proactive development of the Company’s core business system (Business Central/Nav);
To provide financial information to other departments as and when required
To be responsible for the completion of all Office of National Statistics returns, in UK and in other countries as relevant;
Other Duties:
To participate in ad hoc projects as required
To champion continuous improvement in the department
To provide cover for payroll processing as and when required
Key Skills & Knowledge:
Experience of preparing and developing management accounts – individual and consolidated
Solid technical accounting knowledge
Able to adapt to, implement and manage change
Experience of product/service costing and pricing
Advanced/ extensive Excel knowledge
Experience of Microsoft Business Central
Key Competencies:
