Overview:
We are currently looking to recruit a UK based Field Service Engineer for the IMS Engineering department. Location primarily South of UK (London region).
The applicant will be joining a highly skilled team of engineers who take amazing pride in their work and whose values represent the core principles of IMS. Our customers are our family and their positive experiences with IMS are the primary focus of how we conduct our business.
This vacancy is a full-time permanent position. The available position will require a candidate to fulfill varying degrees of responsibilities both from a field service engineer perspective but also from an administrative perspective as we look to strengthen our service engineer position in the UK.
This hybrid approach will provide the successful candidate with excellent opportunities to display strong initiatives and help to develop and grow the IMS brand across the UK and Europe.
Roles and responsibilities:
* The position involves the installation of commissioning of the IMS product range with a key focus on quality and consistency of accomplished works.
* Onsite system installations include but are not limited to:
* WiFi, IPTV, AV, Digital Signage, IP Telephony, Casting, Energy Management.
* Support and maintenance of IMS systems across all client properties while responding within agreed SLAs.
* Stock management – Cooperative management of equipment with the IMS procurement officer.
* Configuration assistance with IMS NOC department to aid with UK and international project deployments.
* Logistic management to ensure delivery of stock to projects for both clients and IMS colleagues.
* Work collaboratively with IMS colleagues in surveying, designing, and delivering network installations.
* Compliance with utilizing IMS CRM, documentation, and communication platforms.
* Always represent the IMS brand with utmost professionalism and ensure the highest of respect is displayed to both customers and colleagues alike.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* 2+ years’ experience in the electrical, security or networking sectors.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and complete job related documentation.
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction is essential.
* Full clean driving licence is essential.
* Solas Safepass or similar CSCS access card.
* Manual handling and working at heights (ladder) certification is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Applicant must be willing to travel throughout the UK and internationally if required for project survey and installation work.
* Strong attention to detail and high work standards.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
* Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Desirable:
* Office 365 experience and knowledge with Teams, One Drive, SharePoint etc.
* Familiarity working with ticketing CRM platforms.
* An electrical background (energy management solutions).
Location:
The successful candidate will be based in the South of the UK and primarily tasked with serving that region. However, the role will require flexibility to travel in the UK & EU.
