Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high-quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,000 full-time learners and 10,000 part-time learners. The role:
* 37 hours per week - Full time
* Fixed Term - 2 years
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all learners have the opportunity to develop their bilingual skills and, where appropriate, develop their confidence to use their Welsh language skills in and out of the classroom.
* Advise and encourage students to follow courses through the medium of Welsh or bilingually and deliver Welsh language awareness raising sessions.
* Support students studying through the medium of Welsh or bilingually.
* Work with teaching staff to assist fluent Welsh students.
About you:
* Experience of mentoring.
* Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) grade C or above in Welsh First Language.
* Experience of promoting Welsh language and culture.
* Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
