This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our friendly orthopaedic team in Glangwilli Hospital.
The team are innovative and proactive, working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team with focus on home first, striving to deliver the right support and rehabilitation, at the right time in the right place as close to home as possible.
Our approach is to deliver patient care in a holistic, person-centred manner, supporting patients, when possible, to return safely to their own homes where they may continue to be a valued member of their own community, within which they are most familiar and settled.
There will be opportunities for learning and development and mileage expenses are available.
As a versatile postgraduate, you will have a strong clinical grounding in older peoples rehabilitation, complex manual handling, frailty and orthopaedics, as well as a good understanding of current issues affecting acute and community services.
Successful applicants will require an excellent ability to work autonomously, managing and prioritising a diverse and unpredictable caseload, with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and pressurised environment alongside members of the multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting opportunity for driven individuals, passionate about the value of Occupational Therapy to maintain momentum in transforming our acute and community services across organisations for the people of Carmarthenshire and future generations.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The post holder will be required to participate in the provision of a flexible 7 day service, based on service need. This will be on a rota basis.
Interviews will be held on 30/01/2025.
