Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Principal Clinical Psychologist based at the North West Centre, Kilmarnock.
What you will do:
You will be involved in delivering specialist psychological assessment (including neuropsychological testing), formulation and therapy to adults presenting with a wide range of complex psychological disorders and severe mental illness. Within the Psychology Specialty, clinicians have training and experience at delivering, and supervising others in the delivery of, a range of evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions, delivered through individual sessions and in a group setting.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to service development, teaching, training, supervision of others and will work closely with colleagues both from the AMH Psychology Specialty (when engaging in tasks such as assessment and vetting of referrals) and also from the multi-disciplinary team. Clinical supervision for the post-holder will be provided by an experienced Clinical Psychologist.
Knowledge, Training and/or experience required to do the job:
Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Honours degree in Psychology (minimum upper 2nd class). Registration with the HCPC as a clinical psychologist. Trainee Clinical Psychologists would not be expected to be HCPC registered at the point of applying for the post, but would need to have attained registration before they would be eligible to commence the post.

Shifts Pattern:
The current post is full time Band 8A (7 sessions a week). Variation in the contracted hours will be considered to a minimum of 24 hours per week.
