Garden House Hospice Care are looking for a full or part time specialist doctor in palliative medicine to join our multi-award winning hospice.
We are Garden House Hospice Care, the Hospice for North Hertfordshire. We are a multi-award winning hospice that puts the patient at the heart of everything we do. This year we started an innovative frailty service, working with the Lister Hospital, which has seen us expanding our services and helping even more patients through symptom control, reablement or last days of life care. We are looking for the person with the right skills and experience to become part of our amazing team and help us as we grow even further.
You will be an experienced palliative care doctor who is either of the specialist grade or a specialty doctor who will soon be eligible to become a specialist doctor. You will work under the leadership of the Hospice Medical Director providing specialist palliative care at the Hospice, for outpatients and via domiciliary visits and through support of the community CNS palliative team. You will also work with the MD in providing leadership to the medical team and as part of the senior medical leadership at the Hospice, including being a Clinical Supervisor to trainees on placement. You will be actively involved in clinical governance and quality improvement at the Hospice and will be involved in providing teaching to the Hospice MDT. If desired you will be given the opportunity to be involved in research at the Hospice.
