Job Description Project Accountant Full Time (Hybrid 3 days in office) Derby What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Accountant to join the new Civil Nuclear UK Project Management Office (PMO) in Derby. Supporting complex, major UK new build projects, existing plant maintenance, and global Civil Nuclear opportunities. In this role you will monitor, review and report the status of projects / project portfolios in accordance with the requirements defined in the Project Management Plan and agreed with the Project Sponsor and Project Manager. Represent the PMO in large or high complexity projects, under the guidance of the PMO Manager. Our civil nuclear business provides nuclear reactor vendors and utility operators with integrated, long-term support services and solutions spanning the whole reactor lifecycle, from concept design through to obsolescence management and plant-life extension. Safety-critical systems have been supplied to around 50% of the global nuclear power plants in service and we’ve been a key player in the nuclear industry for more than 50 years. Responsibilities You’ll be responsible for the Project Financials on CNUK’s Ultimate Diesel Generators project: Report the status of projects / project portfolios in accordance with the requirements of the project Manage and report variances to project baseline and report project Key Performance Indicators Review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures to achieve the project success criteria Accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders in accordance with the defined timescales Facilitate and manage risk and opportunity activities Support bids and proposals by providing functional expertise in planning, estimating and project management costs Why Rolls-Royce?
