Job Title: Sales executive (Japan)
Reports to: Head of Investments, CEO
Location: Office / Remote as preferred/necessary
Our lighter, modern approach is challenging the established, more traditional auction houses. Our price transparency and lower fee structure has increased the number of users and the size. The seamless service provided by our London-based team is setting the bar high for our competition.
We are now looking to increase our efforts into building a truly global sales strategy, leveraging customer data and providing truly targeted information to our clients:
1. Profiling customers using tags
2. Increasing outreach by phone/email and automated via custom-built back-office environment and CRM system (Bitrix24)
3. Adding sales reps focusing on main markets (UK, US, Japan, others)
4. Offering direct sales opportunities to customers via our supplier partner network
Investment Sales Strategy: We are embarking on a strategy to increase our sales in the Japanese market. We currently have around 150 existing clients that have bought a wide-ranging set of products, from spending a few thousand, up to over £1m. These clients are mainly high net worth (HNW) with an average spend of £10,000+ per purchase. We recently sold a £400,000 item to one Japanese client. The Japanese market is the strongest market in the world at the moment and we aim to build on our successes in the market by adding a proactive and driven Japanese sales person.
In January we hired a Head of Investments, whose primary focus is to drive the investment sales strategy, including creating investment white papers, creating live events and VIP evenings, scheduling presentations, etc. We may also work with content writers in both English and Japanese and marketing freelancers to leverage the content.
Responsibilities:
Developing and delivering the HNW sales strategy towards a Japanese client base. You will take whatever measures necessary, including adding and training team members or engaging with freelancers to successfully deliver your sales targets.
Skills and Qualities:
* Seasoned high-end/luxury sales professional with a track record of successfully delivering high-value sales in Japan.
* Self-starter with an ability to deliver projects single-handedly if necessary.
* Ability to adjust selling style to meet customer needs.
* Deep knowledge of digital systems/software and e-commerce landscape.
* Excellent communication with experience leading teams.
* Ability to solve problems creatively.
Renumeration:
£30,000-£40,000 per annum, plus 2% commission on successful sales volume. Expected sales volume of at least £250,000 per month on average.
