To provide a high-quality reception and front-of-house experience to welcome guests and customers to the Hotel and support them throughout their stay. To operate the telephone switchboard and undertake general administrative duties to ensure reception operations continue to run smoothly.
Main Responsibilities:
1.Undertake front-of-house duties, including meeting, greeting, and attending to the needs of guests and customers to ensure an excellent customer service experience.
2.Build a good rapport with all guests and assist in resolving any complaints or issues promptly to maintain high quality customer service.
3.Administer an orderly reservations and booking system for bedrooms, meeting rooms and events to ensure that customers receive a reliable service.
4.Maintain accurate and efficient bookkeeping accounts and guest billing processes to contribute to the orderly financial management of the hotel.
5.Undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
6.Run errands for guests that may be required to ensure they have a relaxing stay.
7.Manage petty cash systems and floats to ensure they are accurate.
8.Manage the collection and delivery of incoming and outgoing mail to ensure it is promptly delivered internally and externally.
9.Provide relief cover in the hotel bar area if required to maintain consistency of service.
10.Take on any other reasonable tasks or responsibilities within the remit of your skills and abilities as required.
Essential:
Proven experience of dealing with the public in a customer services role.
Evidence of strong administrative skills.
Good IT skills (including Microsoft office, excel, Opera PMS and outlook).
Ability to use a variety of reservations systems, including online booking systems.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the Company
Exceptional interpersonal skills and telephone manner.
Good standard of written and verbal communication.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar role.
Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
