The Opportunity
Due to increased expansion one of our valued nuclear clients are looking to add senior and principal level mechanical engineers to their SEP project. We will accept applicants on both a staff and contract basis, however, staff is much the preference of the client. This role provides a unique chance to join a company with a great culture and future progression.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and such that the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress.
Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.
Ensure task and project risks are communicated and managed appropriately.
Produce, review and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as assigned.You will have the following qualifications & experience
You are someone who owns and delivers, who champions high performance and is courageous to challenge the status quo.
Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice.
Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience leading a team.It’s great if you also have the following
Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Holds or has the ability to obtain Chartered status.
Nuclear experience is not a requirement, we welcome applications from all engineering backgrounds.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
