Within Care and Rehabilitation Services, the philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. Our training and operational practices emphasise the need to treat prisoners with dignity and respect and G4S staff build positive and supportive relationships with the prisoners in their care. HMP & YOI Parc accommodates 1038 convicted male adult prisoners and remand/ convicted young offenders and young people in a secure but modern environment. We now have an opportunity for a Security Analyst to join our team at HMP Parc. This role involves aiding and supporting the establishments Security management Team in in identifying and tracking threats to the establishments security and good order, suggesting and directing methods of resource deployment and promoting positive working relationships with other law enforcement agencies. Key Responsibilities Carry out assessment and analysis of submitted Mercury Intelligence Reports, Security Intelligence Reports, Incident Reports and any other source of information. Develop an overview of the intelligence picture of key threats to the establishments overall security. Provide strategic and tactical analysis of key individuals (nominals and OCG’s). Provide strategic and tactical analysis of any identified weaknesses in the establishments security processes. Provide support to Security Collators and Data Inputters. Provide relevant briefings to the Security Management Team, provide input to the Security Committee Meeting and any subsequent tactical tasking. Disseminate sanitised and relevant information to other functional meetings such as monthly Safety Meeting and the weekly Safety Intervention Meeting (SIM). Complete reports for offenders going through the re-categorisation process The duties/responsibilities listed above describe the post as it is at present and is not intended to be exhaustive. Key Competencies: To be IT literate and comfortable with both Windows based and Google operating systems. Must be competent in using database and spreadsheet applications such as MS Excel and Google Sheets. Must be competent in using word processing applications such as MS Word and Google Docs. Must be competent in using presentation applications such as MS Power Point and Google Slides. Have experience of working with information and intelligence, particularly dealing with sensitive and confidential issues. Must be able to produce quality, comprehensive, logical and structured reports. Must be able to present to individuals or groups, using appropriate language and techniques. To be able to plan and organise own workload. Work seamlessly with other team members. To be able to contribute to the department and function strategy.
