The opportunity
As an A Level Business and Economics Teacher, you will have an exciting opportunity to inspire students and help them achieve outstanding academic success. In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in A Level Business and Economics.
Using creative teaching strategies and real-world examples, you will bring the curriculum to life and cater to the diverse needs of your students. Your aim will be to build their confidence, equip them with in-depth subject knowledge, and prepare them for success in external examinations.
You will also take an active role in assessing and supporting student progress. By designing and marking assignments, tests, and mock exams, youll help students meet examination board standards. Your regular feedback and tailored interventions will motivate and guide them to achieve their full potential.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your role as you contribute to the development of the A Level Business and Economics curriculum. Working with colleagues to share ideas and resources, youll help create a dynamic and innovative learning environment that keeps students engaged and excited about their studies.
Supporting students goes beyond the classroom, and youll also take on a pastoral role. As a personal tutor, youll provide academic and personal guidance, ensuring students feel supported throughout their journey. Your participation in college-wide activities, such as open days and enrichment programmes, will further enhance the student experience and showcase the departments strengths.
To continue growing as an educator, youll engage in professional development opportunities, staying up to date with advancements in your subject and teaching techniques. About you
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to deliver engaging A Level Business and Economics lessons that inspire and motivate students to achieve their best. With strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills, youll play a key role in preparing learners for success in their studies and future ambitions.
Youll need a degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject, along with a recognised teaching qualification such as QTS. Experience teaching A Level with a proven track record of student success is essential. By using real-world examples and innovative teaching methods, youll make lessons exciting and relevant while meeting diverse learning needs.

GCSE Maths and English (Level 2 or equivalent)
Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards a PGCE if not already at Level 5).
