Administration Assistant
Band 3 -
Full Time - hours per week
Part time - 34 hours per week
Some of the main responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to;
Greeting service users and professionals, answering calls via phone, monitoring an email account for work and processing messages appropriately, ordering, booking appointments and transport, updating clinical systems, covering receptions/other wards, and general administrative duties. To be able to use Microsoft packages is essential. full training will be given for our data base system
Main duties of the job
1. To work as a member of the Directorate's Administration Service ensuring that a high quality and efficient service is provided at all times, which may include giving support and providing cover in other areas as requested.
2. To operate as a centralised administration service providing a comprehensive administration service to support clinical services and functions within the Trust's localities.
3. The Administration Assistant / Receptionist will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using trust information systems.
4. The postholder will require a team approach to ensure cover for absence across all services / locations and the post holder will be required, on occasion, to relocate to provide this cover.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

16. Due to the nature of the role a strong emphasis is placed on safeguarding confidentiality and this forms a pre-requisite for every Administration Assistant / Receptionist.
17. The Post Holder will be required to work on a rota system to cover core office hours, where appropriate.
