We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our developing project function, managing a variety of IT projects for a large global business, commencing January 2025.
You will join a busy department and be responsible for managing multiple IT projects to facilitate delivery in varied environments, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver results. Effective communication and strong technical knowledge of emerging IT trends are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple, small and medium scale multifunctional IT projects through their complete lifecycle.
* Lead and maintain momentum of designated projects and associated workstreams.
* Coordinate project activities and resources.
* Financial management of project budgets.
* Ensure that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are followed.
* Proactively identify and address project challenges, resolving any problems.
* Manage scope changes and project change requests.
* Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate levels of communication.
* Be the primary POC for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Record and report project status.
* Adopt and adapt project management methods to suit the project needs.
* Use of designated project management software.
* Maintain project documentation.
* Close projects in line with the defined success criteria ensuring a smooth transition of project deliverables.
Requirements
* Proven experience managing IT projects, demonstrating consistent delivery within time and budget constraints.
* Good knowledge of project planning and control techniques.
* Familiarity with current and emerging IT trends and technologies.
* Experience in project planning, risk management, and budget management.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Industry standard project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, APM).
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Customer focused mindset with an ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
