Are you a practical person with a passion for working in the outdoors and want to improve our parks and open spaces? Ipswich Borough Council is looking to appoint three Apprentices to join our team.
We’re recruiting 2 x Grounds Maintenance Apprentice focus on horticulture (planting, maintenance and care). 1 x Landscapes Apprentice focus on landscaping (fencing, installing play areas and ground works)
You will be working as part of a busy team installing and improving play areas and/or maintaining our beautiful parks and open spaces to a high standard, whilst learning from experienced colleagues.
You will enjoy working outside in all weathers, be a reliable and conscientious team member, and be someone who takes early starts in their stride. You will be able to bend, stretch and lift/hold heavy objects as part of your day-to-day routine.
These exciting roles offers a wide range of horticultural/landscaping grounds maintenance experience which will support your Intermediate Apprenticeship, which includes an NVQ Level 2 qualification.
